Early in life she was converted and gave her life to Christ, being baptized in the Christian faith and it can be said that the principal events of the intervening years between this and the one of her death were periods devoted in administering to the wants and needs of others and of many deeds of sacrifice and love consistent with the Christian life. Early in the year 1812 she contracted a severe cold which left a lingering cough and later developed into tuberculosis, of which she has been a patient sufferer. A year spent in a western climate and Many months at a sanatorium failed to check the advance of this dread malady. At many times during these years she was not idle but industrious and beyond her strength ready to lighten the labor of those with whom her life was cast. In May 1817 she was made to know that her condition was hopeless and returned to her home. Additional Comments: Lakeside cemetery - #7-887 b.
