She was taken much worse on Saturday, a week ago. She failed rapidly until the end. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sebewa Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Fay C. Wing of Woodland. Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery in the family lot. Mrs. Downing and her husband have lived on the same farm at West Sebewa where they first went to housekeeping, all of their married life. She is an aunt of Jason Peacock, president of the village, also of Mrs. Thursa Goodemoot, Harley and Jesse Peacock, Mrs. Victor Wilson, Mrs. Ed Johnson, all of Sebewa, Dr. Peacock of Lansing, J. J. Peacock of Ionia, Mrs. Jack Reglin of Detroit and Mrs. Russell Waring of this place. All of these relatives are well known here.
