Ionia Standard, 28 Jul 1911

The remains of Mrs. Isabella Z. Downs were brought to Ionia Mon. for interment, 
from Grand Rapids, by Mr. and Mrs. Mont Lyon, arriving on the mid-day train, and 
the funeral service was attended from the home of Mrs. Nancy Logan, East 
Washington St., at 2 o’clock.  There was a goodly attendance, largely from the 
older residents.  The discourse was by Rev. A. W. Dodge of St. Louis.  Interment 
was in Oak Hill, and the bearers were:  Chester R. Waterbury, N.L. Brookins, 
Charles B. Lovrien and Charles Lempke, all old-time neighbors and family friends.
