                             WILLIAM J. DOWSETT

PRATTVILLE, ALABAMA - William J. Dowsett, 61, of Prattville, died August 14.

He was born in Ionia April 28, 1925, the son of William and Edith Dowsett.

He attended Ionia Public Schools and served in the United States navy during 
World War II.

Survivors include his wife,Doris; three sons, Doug of Sumner Daniel of Lansing 
and David of Newport, News, Va.' and nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence of Ionia and Charles of 
Hendersonville, N.C. and three sisters, Corky moon of Ionia, Kathleen Whitney of 
Grand Rapids and Sadie Roberts of Mount Pleasant.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for a later date.
