The Ionia Sentinel, Monday, December 16, 1940
Baby Gertrude Mae Dowsette died at her home in Lyons Monday morning at 1:15 
a.m. at the age of seven months.  She had been ill with pneumonia.  Surviving 
are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dowsette, and one sister, Carol Ann, 2½ 
years old.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Myers funeral 
home in Ionia.  Interment will be at the Muir cemetery.
