Miss Carrie Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Carter, was born at Maple Rapids, April 23, 1873, and came to Belding when a young girl, securing work in Belding Brother silk mills where she remained until after her marriage to Tom Doyle, who died about one year ago. She was a member of Doric Chapter, No. 75, Order of Eastern Star, and also of the Belding Methodist church. Funeral services were held at the Fales funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. William Blanding officiating. Burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Surviving are: the son, Carlton Doyle; and one granddaughter, Betty Doyle.
