The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 1, 1926
Mrs. Mary C. Drake, 75, formerly of Easton, died June 24, in St. Petersburg, 
Florida, where she had been living for the past four years with her sister, 
Mrs. M. L. Chase.

The body will arrive Saturday noon, accompanied by Mrs. Chase.  The funeral 
will be held Sunday at 2:30 from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. W. 
Merriam, 351 E. Washington.  Burial will be made in the Easton cemetery.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. John Morrison of Grand Rapids, Miss 
Nellie Drake of Detroit, and Mrs. A. W. Merriam of this city.  She also leaves 
two sisters and a brother, Mrs. M. L. Chase of St. Petersburg, Fla., at whose 
home she died; Mrs. Emma Kelsey of Corunna, and John Drake of Detroit.  Mr. 
Drake passed away ten years ago.
