Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Feb 2005

Evelyn A. Draper, age 92, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2005.  She was 
born on November 24, 1912 in Ionia, the daughter of John and Celia (Johnson) 
Anderson.  Mrs. Draper was a graduate of Lyons High School, and her hobbies 
included tending her flower garden and crocheting, especially making afghans 
for friends.  Evelyn married Richard C. Sprague Dec. 9, 1934 and he preceded 
her in death on Sept. 14, 1971.  She moved to Big Rapids in 1968, before coming 
to Ionia in 1971.  She married Loren Draper in April of 1975, and he preceded 
her in death in 1977.

In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents; 
sisters, Helen, Emily and Dorothy; brother George; son-in-law, Roy Crater.  
Surviving are her children, Robert Sprague of Marion, Richard (Lorene) Sprague 
of Lyons, Janice Crater of Belding, and Philip (Roberta) Sprague of Sheridan; 
18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Scott K. Otis, at 2 p.m. 
Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.  
Interment will take place at Muir Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 
the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.  For those 
desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Commission on 
Aging in memory of Mrs. Evelyn A. Draper.
