The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 16, 1982
Irma C. Draper, 85, 320 Summit Street, Saranac, died Monday morning in 
Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.  Born in Boston Township August 30, 1896, 
she graduated from Saranac High School in 1914, from Eastern Michigan 
University in 1922, and from the University of Michigan in 1935.  She taught 
for 28 years in Imlay City schools, at Saranac High School and at Fordson High 
School, Dearborn, before retiring.

She was married to William H. Draper in 1955.  He preceded her in death in 
1969.  She was a member of Saranac Community Church.  She is survived by four 
cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from Saranac Community 
Church, the Rev. Ed. Mendenhall officiating.  Burial will be in the South 
Boston Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.  A memorial has been established for Saranac Community 
Church in care of the funeral home.
