Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Marie Dreger, 81, were Monday at 2 p.m. at
Leddick funeral home.  Rev. Darwyn Hassert of Smyrna Bible church officiated and
interment was at Balcom cemetery.  Mrs. Dreger died early Friday evening at
Ferguson-Droste hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been a patient five weeks.

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, April 20, 1891, she was the daughter of Emil and
Pauline Koenig Haag.  She came to the United States when 19 and resided in Ionia
until 1966 when she moved to Belding.

She was married to Paul Dreger July 19, 1917, and he died July 19, 1971.  She
was a member of the VFW auxiliary of Ionia.

Surviving are three sons, Paul of Los Gatos, Calif., William of Frankenmuth and
George of Belding; daughter, Mrs. William Adams of Green Cove Springs, Fla.;
nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Bearers were Gerald Jackson, William Jackson, Burton Hill, William Pretzel,
Clyde Kanouse and Robert Wizorek, Sr.
