Driese, age 62, passed away at 9:30 Sunday morning at her home on Merrick avenue following a long serious illness, during which time she had suffered from heart trouble. Nina Finch was born February 22, 1878, at Sparta, the daughter of Estella and Henry Finch, and came to this city more than 40 years ago, where she was employed as a winder in the red silk mill. On October 2, 1901 she was united in marriage to Ed C. Driese, and to this union were born three children, Kenneth of Dearborn, Carmon, now Mrs. Al Gates, of Standish, and Pauline at home. Other survivors are the husband, a brother, B. S. Finch, of San Diego, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Eddy Stevenson, of East Lansing; two grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral rites in charge of Fales funeral home were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Edwyn Evans, pastor of the Congregational church where the deceased attended, officiated at the service and interment was in River Ridge cemetery.
