The Belding Banner, Thursday, November 16, 1911


Again the relentless hand of death has entered our midst and borne to her last 
rest one of Beldings much loved ladies.  Mrs. Margaret Driese, who has been in 
rather poor health for the past year, answered the last call early Sunday 
morning and crossed over the great divide to meet the loved ones gone before.

Mrs. Driese had reached the age of sixty-three and found much comfort in her 
grandchildren all of whom dearly loved Grandma Driese.  Two sons, Edward of 
this city, with whom she had lived the past few years and Henry of Detroit who 
reached here in time to see his mother before she passed away.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Edrie Collins 
officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the old cemetery.  Beautiful 
floral offerings showed the deep hold of affection the departed held among 
those who knew her.
