DRUMMOND
George Gordon Drummond age 74 of Ionia, MI passed away August 18,2021. He was 
born on May 25, 1947 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of George Drummond Sr. 
and Florentine (Poole) Caberto. George served in the Navy during the Vietnam 
War. He served on the USS Mills (Destroyer). George married Pamela Andrews in 
1968 in Ionia.

He worked as a correction officer, drove truck for 5 year and then retired from 
the department of Corrections. After retirement he worked for 10 years at Ionia 
National Bank.

George is survived by his loving wife of 53 years,Pamela Drummond, son Jason 
Drummond of Lake Odessa, siblings John (Nancy) Drummond, Kathy (Bill) Lemke, 
Barbara Sutton, Sandy (Jim) Hoppough, Steve (Amy) Caberto, Sharon (John) Kopko; 
best friend, Larry Reeder. He was preceded in death by his son, William Curt 
Drummond; father, George Drummond Sr.,; mother and step-father, Florence and Dr, 
Santiago Caberto; brother-in-law, Craig Sutton.

Private services will be held at a later date. memorial contributions can be 
made in Georg's name to Ionia Community Library. Arrangements in care of Lake
