Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today for John D. Duane, 69, of 
11397 Vickeryville Road, Fenwick, who died Saturday, March 31, 1990 at his 
home.

A resident of the Fenwick area since 1981, he was born April l24, 1920, in 
Wyandotte and formerly lived in Virginia. He was the son of Daniel and Rose 
Duane.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea, he was a member of DAV 
Chapter #2, Grand Rapids, Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan , CCC 
Chapter #29 Grand Rapids, Palo Oddfellow and Rebekah lodges.

Oh Oct. 7, 1981, he married Kathryn Newcomb Sylvester, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter and son; half brother, Arthur Duane, 
Massachusetts; two nephews and three grandchildren.

Service were to be conducted at Palo Cemetery by VFW Post 5065. Arrangements 
were handled by Stebbins ad Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan.
