Edith Duckworth, 79, of 211 Dunlap, Lansing, died Thursday after a long 
illness.  She was born July 19, 1904 in Birmingham, England.  She was married 
to Edward Duckworth, who preceded her in death in 1945.

Sue is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Bertha) Martin of Greenville, 
Tenn.; and Mrs. Jack Vallad of Fenwick; eight grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in 
Eaton Rapids.  A memorial, in care of family members, has been established for 
the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements were made by the Hull Memorial 
Chapel, Muir.
