Hazel M. Duffey, 96, of Portland, died Wednesday in Portland.  She was born 
February 4, 1897, in Pewamo, the daughter of Elmer and Cora Catlin.

She was a member of Portland O.E.S. Chapter #258.

She is survived by two sons, Bernard of Sunfield and Berwell of Charlotte; her 
daughter Maxine Brown of Sunfield; 32 grandchildren; and three great 
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Burr and a grandson, 
Jerry N. Duffey.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Neller Chapel in Portland with 
the Rev. Harris J. Hoekwater officiating.  The family will be at the Neller 
Chapel in Portland Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Burial will be in the Danby 
Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Larry and Lynn Brown, Gordon, Dennis, and Steven 
Duffey, and Troy Woodman.  Memorials have been established for the Portland 
United Methodist Church and Portland O.E.S. Chapter #258, in care of the 
funeral home.
