Ionia Standard, 2 May 1913

April 27  Mrs. Duffy, 83 years of age passed away last Sunday after a long 
sickness.  She was being cared for by Mrs. John Spencer, her daughter.  She was 
attended during the last days by Mrs. Amos Russell of Smyrna, Mrs. Clarence 
Snow of Chadwick and Irvin Olmstead of Ionia, her two daughters and one son, 
besides other relatives and friends.  Funeral from the home of John Spencer in 
Orleans.  Rev. Jerrett of the M.E. Church of Orleans will preach from the 
following text, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might.”
