She was born in Lansing November 5, 1872, and was educated in the schools of that place. In October, 1896, she was united in marriage to John Duhig in Milwaukee, and after a number of years spent in Chicago, came to Lyons to make their home in 1908. Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Edward Madden of Royal Oak and Lewis Madden of Clawson. Funeral services were held Monday morning at nine o’clock at the church of SS. Peter & Paul at Ionia, high mass and sermon being given by Rev. Fr. McCarthy. The bearers were Orvis Messer, John Stout, Delbert Ritenburg and Foster Bogart. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery in Lansing.
