Excerpts from Greenville Obituary
Ronal W. Dukes formerly of Stanton.
Died October 8, 2020-age 85 of Spring Lake, Michigan.
Born August 27, 1935 in Ionia, son of Henry W. & Ila E. Dukes.
Married Shirley Bloss on January 8, 1955.
Began career at Ionia Road Commission, then Army serving in Germany til 1958.
Back to the Road Commission where he retired after 30 years.
Served in the Montcalm County Sheriff Posse for 20 years.
A long time member of Sheridan Assembly of God.
Was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.
Ronald loved all sports, raising beagles, his farm animals and hunting.
Survived by wife Shirley of 65 years; six children Jean (Jim) Anderson of 
Wyoming, Becky (Mike) Neitzel of Florida, Rhonda (Rick) Wabich of Greenville, 
Lilly (Bill) Payette of Norton Shores, Cary Dukes of Stanton & Kimber (Todd) 
Erven of Clark Lake,16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-
grandchildren; sister-in-law Dorothy (Tom) Peterson of Holland and many 
nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his grandson Brennan Collier, daughter-in-law Helen 
Duke, brothers Clarence and his twin Don, and his sisters, Viola, Lenora, 
Lorrain, Dagmar, Vivian and Eileen.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 13, 2020 at 2 p.m at Sheridan 
Assembly of God Church, Officiated by Pastor Jerry Carlson & his son-in-law 
Pastor Bill Payette.
Visitation from noon until start of the service.
Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ronald's name to Shirley Dukes.
