Lloyd K. Dulek, who died in New Guinea, will arrive in Ionia Friday afternoon, July 16, on the 5:07 p.m. Grand Trunk train, accompanied from Chicago by a military escort. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 18 at 3:30 p.m. from the Boynton funeral home, Rich street. The Rev. Wayne Davis will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery. S/Sgt. Dulek left Ionia in 1940 with Co. H and was killed in action n the battle of Buna, New Guinea, December 19, 1942. He was buried in the American cemetery at Buna village. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dulek of Ionia. Another Publication: The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 15, 1948 Staff Sgt.
