Mrs. Margaret M. DuMond, 74, of 142 East Main street died Tuesday at Belding
Community hospital following an illness of three weeks.  She was born August 25,
1899 at St. Ignace, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Glenn, and following
her graduation from school taught at Dryburg and Rudyard.

Mrs. DuMond was a member of First Methodist Church of Ionia, also Coe circle and
women’s society and was communion steward at the church.  She was a member of
Beatrice Rebekah lodge, Past Noble Grand club, Berlin Grange, North Berlin Aid
society and Red Cross Blood bank.

Surviving are two sons, Russell Benedict of North Brook, Ill., and Dr. Robert
Benedict of Seattle, Wash. ; three stepsons, Howard DuMond of Gowen, Melvin of
Dorr and William of Holland; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ida Belle Setchfield of
Belding and Mrs. Helen Mull of Rochester; 21 grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Hills of Sharon, Conn., and a brother,
Robert Glenn of New York City.  Her husband, Ralph, preceded her in death in 1958.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home.  The Rev.
Lester E. Bailey will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret M. DuMond, 74, widow of Ralph DuMond, was held
Thursday at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Lester E. Bailey of First Methodist church
officiating.  Interment was at Highland Park cemetery.  Bearers were Albert
Haist, Arthur Smith, Daniel Hauter, Clyde Markham, Thomas Sanders and Allen
Sandborn, Sr.  Members of Beatrice Rebekah lodge attended in a group.

Attending from out of town were Dr. Robert Benedict of Seattle, Wash.; Russell
Benedict and family of Dearfield, Ill.; Robert Glenn of Huntington, Long Island;
Mrs. Ray Hills of Sharon, Conn.; Mrs. Roberta Sova and Mrs. Douglas DuMond of
Holland, Frederick Mull and Barbara of Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin DuMond and
family of Dorr, Mrs. Lena Swanson of Lowell, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peters of Ada.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard DuMond and Mr. and Mrs. Robert DuMond of Gowen, Mrs. Arthur
Harding of Greenville, Mrs. Joseph Newman of Lansing, Mrs. W.C. Setchfield, Mr.
and Mrs. David Setchfield and Mr. and Mrs. Beryle Setchfield of Belding; Kay
Setchfield of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hauter, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Markham,
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith and Mr. as Mrs. Alden Smith of Saranac; Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Croel and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sprank of Lyons and Mr. and Mrs. Erme Face
of Orleans.
