Ionia Standard – Friday, 19 May 1916
Mrs. Jennie Dumont, wife of Charles Dumont, died Sat. morning at 7:30 o’clock, 
at their home on South Jefferson Street.  She was 54 years old, and had been 
sick since June 14 with cancer.  She leaves besides her husband, two 
children:  Goldie Dumont who is a student here, and Claude Dumont, whose home 
is in Detroit.  Dr. Minnie Steward of Benton Harbor, a sister, is in the 
city.   The funeral was at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Church of 
Christ.
