Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 22 Jun 1934

Charles Dumper, 60 years old, died at the county home, where he had been a
resident for the past 11 years, Friday morning at 10 o’clock, June 22.  Funeral
services will be held from the Stebbins funeral home, Sunday afternoon at 1
o’clock with Rev. M. W. Duffy officiating.  Mr. Dumper was born and lived all
his life until 11 years ago on the farm of his parents, north of the Easton
church.  He never married.  He is survived by one brother, Melvin, of Ionia, and
three nieces, Mrs. W. H. Burras, Mrs. R. Buttje and Mrs. Paul Leslie.  He was
taken suddenly ill Sunday, June 17, the cause of his death being a stroke.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Easton Cemetery.]
