Dunham was born in Erie Co., Ohio, in 1846, and was the third of four children, two boys and two girls. The family moved to this state while the children were yet quite young, and took up their abode on the farm in Berlin, where the father and mother both died, and Ellen, too, passed away, on Feb. 8th, after a long and painful illness. She was patient and cheerful to the last; always ready with a helpful word for all. Her life was one of good deeds and helpfulness, and many hearts are heavy over her demise. She has entered into her reward, and we shall all have to bide our time to meet her. She leaves one brother and one sister, Edwin Dunham of this city and Mrs. Elenor Warner of Berlin, at whose home she died. The other brother died at Elk River, Tenn., while serving in the army during the war. “Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, from which none ever wake to weep.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/d/dunham12063nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
