Dec. 17, 1910 Silas Dunham was born in Roxand township, Eaton county, Michigan, April 17th, 1863, died at his home in Lake Odessa, Michigan, December 5th, 1920, age 57 years, 7 months and 6 days. He was married to Miss Ida Sowles Oct. 17th, 1883. To this union were born five children, of whom four are living, one having passsed on in infancy. He leaves to mourn their loss a loving wife and four children, Lyle and Lee and Mrs. Zelda Thompson all of Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Vena Linhart of Sunfield, Michigan, four brothers, James, John, Charles and George, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hecox, also five grandchildren and a host of friends. Mr. Dunham has been ailing in health for several weeks, but not until very recently was he taken to his bed. Sunday noon he ate heartily of a good dinner, soon after which the hand of the grim reaper reached out and at about five o'clock he was taken on to that land from whose bourn no traveler returns. He was a member of the Masonic and I.O.O.F. Orders of Sunfield Funeral services were held at Sunfield, Michigan. Rev. A.H.Lash officiated. Interment at Mulliken, cemetery.
