Salem T. Dunham, whose death occurred on the 7th inst., at his home in this city was born December 13, 1846, in the town of Newark, New York. Ten years later he came with his parents to Michigan, settling on a farm in the township of Orleans, where he remained until the death of his father in 1865, when he moved with his mother to this city, which has since been his home. He was married February 5, 1867, to Alice Wilcox, who survives him. There was born one child, a daughter, Belle, now Mrs. W. E. Polhemus. He was an ever faithful husband, a loving father and a staunch friend; quiet and unobtrusive in his manner, yet ever ready to assist wherever assistance was required; of him can it be said, “He was that noblest work of God, ‘an honest man.’” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/d/dunham5620nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
