Dunkel, 68, of Ionia, died Sunday, June 25, 1995, at the Home of Hope in Grand Rapids. He was born September 29, 1926, in Ionia, the son of Sharon and Ida (Randall) Dunkel. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Ionia V.F.W. and also the Ionia Loyal Order of Moose #998. He retired from Consumers Power after 28 years of employment as a tree trimmer and in the gas department. He is survived by two daughters: Rhonda (Frank) Falsetta, of Greenville; Roxanne (Andrew) Moore, of Stanton; one son, Brad, of Ionia; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one half-brother, Virgil D. Ralston, of Ionia. He was preceded in death by one son, William. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Myers Memorial Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, in Ionia. The Rev. Kenneth Harger will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
