Richard B. “Dick” Dunlap, 83, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, 
December 7, 2003 at United Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit, 
Greenville.

The son of Leo W. and Nora E. Haddix Dunlap, he was born June 14, 1920 in 
Belding.  Following graduation from Belding High School, Dick went on to serve 
his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.  He was a 
member of the Belding American Legion Post.  After his discharge he began 
working at General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford and retired after 32 years 
to Half Mile Lake near Greenville.  A master mason, Dick was a member of the 
Masonic Lodges in Milford and Belding.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Dunlap; and three 
brothers, Henry Dunlap, Russell Dunlap, and William Dunlap.  He is survived by 
sister, Mary and Donald Johnson of Greenville; two brothers, Norval and Rebecca 
Dunlap of Belding, Thomas and Anna Mae Dunlap of Greenville; several nieces and 
nephews; and special friends and neighbors, Sandy Lloyd and Dale Ripplinger.

Private funeral services will take place Tuesday at Brown-Teman & Christiansen 
Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Father John Kirkman, pastor of St. 
Paul’s Episcopal Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in River Ridge 
Cemetery, Belding.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Patient 
Activities Fund at United Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit, 
Greenville.
