Rev. R.E. Meader was the minister and singing was by Mrs. R. A. Colwell and Mrs. Myrtle Deck, who sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,” “Sometime We’ll Understand” and “Sometimes the Silver Cord Will Break.” Pallbearers were friends of Mr. Dunn, being Walter and Tom Duffy, Henry Hamilton, Herb Ross, Roy Burger and Harry O’Donnell. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Dunn had practically all his life been a resident here, coming to Ionia from Pewamo, where his younger days were spent. During his many years residence in Ionia Mr. Dunn followed the trade of cigar making and was employed at different times in the cigar factories of G. F. Faude, Roy Burger and Barrett & Scully. He worked last for Tom Duffy until his health failed. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Millen, living near Petoskey, and an uncle living at Reed City.
