Shirley J. Dunn, 54, of 619 West Main Street, Carson City, died Sunday at Carson
City Hospital.  She was born July 12, 1935, in Ronald Township, the daughter of
Eugene and Dorothy Loveless Borden.  She was graduated from Ionia High School,
and was married to Jack Ellison.  He died in 1987.  

She was later married to Robert Dunn; he survives.  She lived in the Palo-Carson
City area all her life, and was a member of the Palo Baptist Church and the Palo
Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving in addition to her husband are six sons, Anthony Borden, of Warren,
Ohio, Winfield Borden of Niles, Ohio; Stephen Ellison of Cortland, Va., Todd
Ellison of Huntington, Va.; Gregory Ellison of Pontiac; and Jonathon Ellison of
Carson City; four daughters, Jacquelynn Culver of North Bloomfield, Ohio;
Lynette Snider of Pontiac; Althea Davis of Georgia; Daphanne Ellison of Orrwell,
Ohio; 33 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Robert Borden, of Palo, and a sister, Marian Gibbs,
of Belding, and her stepmother, Bessie Borden, also of Palo.  She was preceded
in death by one son.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Palo Baptist Church, with
the Rev. Paul Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Ionia. 
Until noon Thursday, visitors may call at Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.
