Born in Orkney Island, Scotland, April 12, 1909, he was the son of William and Betsey J. Dunnett. He came with his parents when two to Des Moines, Iowa, moving to Hartford, Ind., before coming to Ionia to the Woodcotes Stock farm on North Jefferson. He graduated from Ionia high school in 1928 and was a graduate of Davenport college in Grand Rapids. He was with Massey-Ferguson company in Batavia, N. Y., and also Cockeysville, Md., before his retirement a short time ago. He was an active member of the Presbyterian church at Cockeysville, being its financial chairman many years and also serving as trustee and elder. Surviving are his wife, Olive; son, William III, of Shrewsbury, Pa., and daughter, Mrs. Herbert Phelps of Confluence, Pa.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Loren Grieves of Northville, Mrs. Jack Bush of Coopersville and Helen Dunnett of Ionia; brother, Robert of Galt, Calif. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. -------- Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Wm. Cook-Brooks funeral home, 1050 York road, Towson, Md. Interment will be at Jessups Methodist church cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and contributions are being accepted for Ashland Presbyterian church.
