April 20, 1950 Mrs. William Dunnett, 63, died early Monday morning, April 17, at her home on Cyrus St. She had been in failing health for more than two years. Betsy Johnson Garrick was born in Orkney Islands, Scotland, June 1, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Garrick. On Jan. 12, 1908, she was married to William Dunnett at the home of her parents. Three years later, in 1911, Mr. and Mrs. Dunnett came to America and located in Hartford City, Ind., where they li9ved until 1918, when they moved to Chillicothe, Ohio. Three years later, in 1921, they came to Ionia when Mr. Dunnett became the herdsman at Woodcote Stock Farm. He retired from this post in 1947, and the family moved to 647 Cyrus St., where Mrs. Dunnett died Monday. Surviving are the husband; three sons, William of Batavia, N.Y., Robert of Romeo, Mich., and Earl of Yamessee, S.C. ; three daughters, Mrs. L.C. Grieves, Jr., Whittemore Lake, Mich., Mrs. Jack Bush of Roselle, Ill., and Helen at home; a sister, Mrs. Thomas E. Snape, Lancashire, England; two brothers, James Garrick of Racine, Wis., and John Garrick of Orkney Islands, Scotland. Also five grandchildren. Rev. George Rentschler officiated at the funeral service held from Myers Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Balcom Baily, Norman Gustafson, Herbert Dinning and Thomas Bateman.
