Former Resident Dies at Barryton

Body of Mrs. Clarence Durkee Brought to the Home of Mr. and Mrs. Berwin Stadel 
for Funeral.

Mrs. Minnie Durkee of Barryton, wife of a former resident of this vicinity, 
Clarence Durkee, died at their home Friday after a lingering period of ill 
health from anemia.

After a service at the home the body was brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
Berwin Stadel for the funeral, which was held Monday afternoon, with the Rev. 
Raymond Durkee of Williamston officiating, and music by the Rev. and Mrs. S. S. 
Cox of the local Calvary U.B. church.  Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.

Mrs. Durkee was a daughter of the late Anson Rubedue of Lake Odessa and was 60 
years old at her death.  She leaves besides her husband, two daughters and two 
sons, Mrs. Marion Commee and Mrs. Madaline Stadel of Odessa and Lake Odessa, 
Hayden of Mt. Pleasant and Gordon at the home at Barryton.
