           ODESSA RESIDENT PASSED AWAY JUN. 29

MORE THAN 10 YEARS A RESIDENT OF ODESSA AND IONIA.  

            LEAVES HUSBAND AND TWO CHILDREN.

                                 -----------

   Mrs. Lafayette Durkee, who has been ill with an incurable disease for several
years, passed away at her 
home Saturday, June 29.

   Mrs. Durkee was of a quiet disposition and loved her beautiful home.

   She leaves beside her husband, two children.

   The funeral was held at the home Monday, July 1 and burial was at Lakeside
cemetery.

                                  OBITUARY

   Lina F. durkee, who passed away at her home north of town.  Saturday, June 29,
following a long illness, was 
born in Edmore, Mich., October 31, 1875.  Her girlhood was spent in and near Edmore,
Mich

   She was united in marriage to Lafayette H. Durkee in 1907.

   Mrs. Durkee's life was one of Christian fellowship.  She was affiliated with the
First M. C. church in Ionia for 
a number of years.

   Besides her husband two children, Doris Jeanette at home and Richard Camp of
Ionia survive.
