Funeral and committal services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pickens funeral 
chapel in Lake Odessa for Mrs. Blanche A. Durkee.  Mrs. Durkee, 73, route one, 
Lake Odessa, died Thursday at St. Mary’s hospital in Grand Rapids where she 
was admitted November 29 for a broken leg after she fell.

She was born November 6, 1893 in Odessa township the daughter of John and 
Harriett Walters Tasker.  A lifelong resident of Odessa township she married 
Laurence Durkee August 15, 1915 and he died in August of 1943.  She is 
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Albert Roose of Lake Odessa and one 
granddaughter; two brothers, Alva Tasker and Clarence Tasker of Lake Odessa.  
Rev. Elnar Unseth will officiate with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
