Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Feb 1976

Francis Hope Durkee, 79, of Lake City, a former Portland resident, died
Wednesday at Sparrow hospital in Lansing.  He was born December 8, 1896, in
Detroit, the son of Francis W. and Verna Phillips Durkee.  

His wife Lula, died in 1972.  Among his survivors is a sister, Mrs. Lillian
Phillips of Portland.

Services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Neller funeral home at
Portland.  Rev. Harold Homer will officiate and interment will be at the
Portland cemetery.
