MARY DUISTERMARE DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. Clarence Duistermare, 37, of route 2 Portland, was found dead by her 
husband when he returned home from work. The former Mary Badder, she was the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zenas Badder of Ionia, route 2, and grand daughter of 
the late Mrs. Cera Bower.

Coroner Wallace Jackson and Sheriff Peter Van Vleck were called in the farm 
home, said death was apparently due to poison. She was found in the chicken coop 
and the officers found a cup containing a small amount of liquid and a spoon 
close by.

Surviving besides the husband and parents are a brother and sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Neller Funeral Home with burial in 
Balcom cemetery.
