The Portland Observer, Thursday, July 3, 1924

The death of William Dutcher, aged 63 years, occurred at his home in 
Neitztown, Saturday afternoon following an illness of two weeks.  Funeral 
services were held from St. Patrick church, Wednesday morning, in charge of 
Rev. Fr. O’Rourke.  

Mr. Dutcher was born in Ohio and came to Portland when five years of age, 
residing here continuously until his death.  Besides the widow he is survived 
by three children, Mrs. Bernard Morse, Thomas and Sylvester Dutcher, all of 
Portland.  He is also survived by one half-sister, Mrs. Frank Card.  Mrs. C. 
W. Peak who died recently was also a half-sister.
