He had been in poor health for nearly a year but death was unexpected. Mr. Dutcher operated the Bay Port Fish company. He was the husband of the former Vera Williams, daughter of Fred H. Williams of South Ionia, who worked for many years at Vincent’s greenhouse. Surviving are his wife; a son, Lieut. Dwight Dutcher, jr., a pilot instructor in the army air forces, and a daughter, Evelyn Dutcher, former Ionia high school teacher, who enlisted in the WACs more than a year ago and is stationed at an east coast base. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Bay Port and burial will be in Bay Port cemetery.
