Ionia Daily Sentinel, 12 Apr 1918

It was a sad message that came to this vicinity when word was received of the 
death of Michael Dwyer at Newberry, he being but a few days sick.  Death was 
due to erisipelas.  His brother Martin and Martin Grace from near Carson went 
to that place and brought the remains here for burial.

This has been a double grief to his people.  Less than four months ago his 
brother, John, passed away, and of the family but four remain, Jerry, Martin, 
Mary and Mrs. Margaret Coonan of Hubbardston, who have the sympathy of the 
community and a large circle of relatives and friends.  

The funeral was held Thursday, and the large procession showed his many friends 
and how highly he was esteemed.
