He was a resident of 3784 Dildine road, route three, Easton township. He left by plane August 28 with Frank Hall for Lance Lake, Sudbury district, Ontario, Can. This had been their 15th trip to various lakes in Ontario. Mr. Dye became ill August 30 but showed improvement Tuesday. He died unexpectedly at the camp September 1 of an apparent heart seizure. He was born April 1, 1899 in Ionia the son of Harvey and Mary Dye. October 12, 1918 he was married to Frances B. Asom. He was employed many years at Mitchell-Bentley plant in Ionia as a tool and die maker and retired recently. Besides being an ardent sportsman he was a member of Ionia lodge F&AM and Elks. Surviving are his wife, Frances; two sons, Royal H. of Toledo, Ohio, and Lloyd of Easton township; seven grandchildren; one brother, Harry Dye of Detroit. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Christian church with interment at Easton cemetery.
