Ella (Elly) M. Dye, age 78, of Ionia passed away Feb. 7, 2008 in Grand 
Rapids.  She was born July 31, 1929 in Muir, Mich. the daughter of Julius and 
Myrtle (Gillespe) Kirby.  Ella married Lloyd (Ike) Dye on Aug. 25, 1947.  She 
worked for Bell Telephone, Gittlemans and several party stores.

Ella is survived by her loving husband Lloyd (Ike) Dye of Ionia; sons, Ron 
(Carol) Dye, Bob Dye and Rick (April) Dye, all of Ionia; daughters, Sharon L. 
ward of Muir and Deb (Rick) Adams of Ionia; grandchildren, Becky Ward, Cindy 
(Pat) Camp, Tim Ward, Stacie Dye, Stephanie Dye and Jenna Adams; four great-
grandchildren; sisters, Marie Smith of Ionia, Mickey Edmonds of Belding, 
Bonnie Ward of Grand Rapids and one brother Leonard (Roxie) Kirby of St. 
Cloud, Fla.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Scott Dye and several 
brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, 11 a.m. at Easton United 
Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Patera officiating.  Interment East 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. at 
Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ionia 
County Animal Shelter or family choice.
