Scott VanDoren Dye, aged 37, of Ionia passed away due to accidental injuries 
suffered in a snowmobile accident Jan. 26, 1008.  He was born Feb. 9, 1971 in 
Ionia the son of Ronald and Carolyn (Nummer) Dye.  Scott graduated from Ionia 
High School in 1989.  He worked for Bumper Poole in Ionia for many years as a 
parts finisher.

Scott loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards, watching racing, 
hockey, football and baseball.  He enjoyed activities with his family and 
friends.  He was always willing to help anyone in need.  Scott was a member of 
the Bass Pro Fishing Club, NBAA, BASS and FLW Tour.

He will be sadly missed by his family, parents Ronald and Carolyn Dye of 
Ionia, grandparents Gladys Arlene Nummer of Ionia and Ike (Elly) Dye of Ionia; 
aunts and uncles Stan and Deb Nummer, Norma and Gary Williams, Gary and Jo 
Nummer, Jim and Joan Nummer, Greg and MaryLee Nummer, Jeff and Teresa Nummer, 
Sharon Ward, Robert Dye, Deb and Rick Adams and Rick and April Dye and 
numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by grandfather Melvin Nummer, 
uncle Gordon Nummer and cousins Lee, Mike and Chris Nummer.

Funeral services for Scott will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. at the Easton United 
Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Patera officiating.  Interment East 
Cemetery.  Visitation Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home 
in Iona.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the Dye family for 
a charity later established.
