Dye, 93, of Ionia, died on Friday at her residence. She was born in Shiloh on September 7, 1900, the daughter of Fred and Zoe McNeil Basom. She married Van Lyle Dye on October 12, 1918, in Ionia. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Ionia. She was also a member of the Blue Star Mothers Club and a Grey Lady at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her two sons, Royal of Ohio and Lloyd "Ike" of Ionia; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. on Monday at the First Christian Church of Ionia, with the Rev. Michael Valentine officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Easton Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Ionia Helping Hands, in care of the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac.
