Dye 85, retired carpenter, passed away Monday night at Pennock Hospital where he was admitted about 26 hours earlier following a heart attack suffered at his home He was born at Defiance, Ohio and had resided at Brookyn, Michigan after his marriage before moving here in 1922 when they purchased a lunch room which they operated about a year. Since then he has spent most of his time working as a carpenter, retiring n 1952 because of ill health. Mr. Dye was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church for about 25 years. Surviving are his wife Ada; two daughters, Mrs Carl (Golda) Johnson of Cheyboygan and Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Michaud of Lansing; two sons, Erwin of Conage Park, California and Wilber of Lake Odessa; eleven grand children; thirteen great grand children and one great great grand child. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the E. U. B. Church with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. A. R. Kuehn officiating. Mr. Dye reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel until Thursday noon.
