Ionia Daily Standard, 17 Jul 1901

Chauncey B. Dyer died this morning, shortly after 9 o’clock, at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. William Bentley, at No. 417 North Jefferson street.  He was aged 
72 years, and had been a resident of Ionia thirty years, coming here in 1871.  
As a citizen he was uniformly frank, earnest, and honest – a good citizen.  The 
burial will be on Friday.
