The Ionia Standard, Friday, June 26, 1885

Fred E. Dygert died on Tuesday morning at the residence of his parents Mr. and 
Mrs. H. Rich, after a lingering illness with consumption.  Fred was a 
promising young business man and had a host of friends in the city, who will 
be none the less grieved at his death, that it had been expected for a long 
time.  The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the M.E. church.
