Charles Dygert aged 61 of Houghton Lake formerly of Ionia passed away January 
11, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.  He was born July 
10, 1945 in Romeo, Michigan, the son of Lincoln And Bernice (Miller) Dygert.  
He served in the Viet Nam Army Air Borne from 1965 until 1967.  He worked at 
the Chrysler Trim Plant for 10 years.  He was a Corrections Officer until his 
retirement in 2000.  He married Penny Jo Samson in 1971 who preceded him in 
death in 1981.  He went on to marry Leymarie Seno March 27, 1993 in the 
Philippines. 

Charles is survived by his mother Bernice Dygert of Ionia and his father 
Lincoln and Dorothy Dygert of Ionia; his loving wife of 13 years Leymarie 
Dygert of Houghton Lake; sons Loren and Samantha Dygert of Belding, and Jason 
Dygert of Ionia; daughter Ashley and (Brandon) Delinski of Texas; brothers 
Jack Dygert of Ionia and (Lynna Seabrook) of Ionia, Bill and Susan Dygert of 
Ionia, and Roger and Lauri Dygert of Saranac; sister Jean and Craig Ferguson 
of Saranac; grandchildren Alec, Ciera, Zachray, Caleb, Nathan and Hunter and 
many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one son Nathan in 1997.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 17th at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. The family will 
receive friends and family 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral 
home. Anyone wishing to make memorial contribution to Mercy Hospice of 
Grayling or the American Cancer Society.
