Dyke, 70, of Belding, died Saturday afternoon, July 4, at 5 o’clock after being in poor health for a year. He was born Aug. 14, 1883 at Grand Rapids. Mr. Dyke retired June 1, 1953 from operating a dress shop in Belding. He lived in Ionia from 1924 to 1930, and was employed by the Chaffee Brothers furniture company. Moving to Greenville in 1930, he operated a retail appliance store until 1943. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Victor Poole of Saranac; two sons, Leslie C. of Greenville and Heath of Saranac, a sister, Mrs. George Luben, Coopersville; a brother, Edward of Grand Rapids and a half brother, Henry Rozema Grand Rapids; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Fales-Huffman funeral home in Belding, with the Rev. H.B. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Alton cemetery.
