Dyke, 80, of 321 East Lincoln Avenue, Ionia, died Thursday, September 5, at his home of a heart attack. He has been ill for three years. Mr. Dyke was born in Carson City, Michigan February 9, 1877. He was married on January 26, 1907 to Ethel Maynard, in Stanton, Michigan. He worked for the Ypsilanti- Reed Furniture Company for 30 years and for the City of Ionia for eight years. Mr. Dyke has been a resident of Ionia for the past forty years. The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel M. Dyke, Mrs. Clarence Markle, Clifton Dyke, Mrs. Ray Allen and a brother, Curtis Dyke, all of Ionia; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Frank Dyke was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. The funeral service was held Monday at 2:00 p.m., on September 9, 1957 at the Myers Funeral Home. The minister was Rev. G. Rentschler. He was buried in Vickoryville, at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
